The Nocona High School girls’ basketball team hung around with District 3A-9 and Montague County foe Bowie in the first half.
However, the Lady Rabbits outscored the Lady Indians 20-8 in the third quarter, and Bowie finally had some breathing room en route to a 73-33 victory over Nocona.
Bowie, now ranked fifth in the latest Texas Association of Basketball Coaches Conference 3A poll, improves to 17-6, 5-0 in 3A-9 with this win. Nocona dropped to 8-9, 1-4, and time is running out for a shot at a playoff berth. Read more, and see the complete box score, in the Bowie News.
