LOCAL: Boosters try to fill vacancies

Published

on

The Bowie Athletic Booster Club will have a regular meeting at 6 p.m. on Aug. 1 in the Bowie High School commons.

The meeting will feature the installation of new officers including Jill Jones as vice president and Jessica Gresham as treasurer – the leadership group was selected at the May meeting.

During the meeting, the boosters are hoping to name a new football coordinator and concession stand coordinator. D.J. Housour will not serve as concession coordinator this year.

The boosters are expected to take possession of the new inflatable this week, and it’s expected to debut at “Meet the Rabbits” on Aug. 6.

The group is looking for responsible people to help set up and break down the new run-through at both home and away football games.

The theme for the 2016-17 calendar year is “Get Involved.” The fee for joining the Bowie Booster Club has been set at $10. Everyone who signs up will receive a “Get Involved” T-shirt, maroon in color.
