Former Nocona High School volleyball coach Glenna Clay’s coaching tree has now produced yet another branch.
Charlie Hamilton Pittman, who played on two Lady Indians’ state tournament teams, was named head volleyball coach at Saint Jo earlier this week.
Hamilton Pittman’s hiring is pending board review, but it’s pretty much a done deal.
“We’re honored to have her on staff,” said new Saint Jo superintendent Curtis Eldridge. “Her volleyball knowledge and experience will be fantastic for Saint Jo.”
Eldridge reported in addition to coaching, Hamilton Pittman will be special education paraprofessional – replacing Jennifer Gaston, who has taken another job within the district.
“She is well-versed in volleyball,” said Clay. “She helped us take two trips to state. She was a great setter for me, and she knows the game. I think the girls in Saint Jo will work hard for her.” Read more in the July 2 Bowie News.
