The Nocona High School volleyball team continued its surge in the early portion of District 3A-8 play.
The Lady Indians followed up Wednesday’s victory over Henrietta with a four-game conquest over Jacksboro by scores of 25-11, 21-25, 25-16, 25-7.
Nocona is nearly at .500 on the season, improving to 14-15, 2-1. The Lady Indians played host to 3A-8 frontrunner Boyd on Tuesday evening.
“Key successes in the victory were we limited our unforced errors and we stayed aggressive offensively,” Nocona head coach Tiffany Clay said.
“In the second set, the girls were unfocused and Jacksboro had few errors,” the coach added. “They kept the ball alive and capitalized on our errors.”
Nocona found its groove in the third set. The Lady Indians earned Point No. 25 in the third set on a block combination from Camry Tompkins and Ashley Womack. Read more in the Sept. 21 Bowie News.
