United Regional Sports Medicine has been named the new athletic training partner with the Bowie Independent School District.
Jeremiah Berryhill, a native of Dallas and a Midwestern State University graduate, has been named Bowie’s full-time athletic trainer.
“Jeremiah will continue what we had with Jordon (Roth),” said Bowie High School athletic director and football coach Dylan Stark. “It’s about the kids’ safety, and it’s great we will have a trainer to help keep our kids healthy.”
Sports medicine is an area of healthcare dedicated to the care and injury prevention of both competitive and recreational athletes.
Berryhill was part of a partnership between MSU and United Regional in which the facility served as a clinical site for the Mustangs’ athletic training program.
United Regional serves Bowie and several other school districts in the area: Nocona, Archer City, Windthorst, Electra, Graham, Seymour, Petrolia, City View and Wichita Christian – as well as the Wichita Falls Nighthawks indoor football team. Read more in the Aug. 12 Bowie News.
