The Bowie Police Department has obtained felony warrants for Kory Kunkel, 30, Bowie, as a suspect in a robbery and assault after he allegedly assaulted his former girlfriend and took her vehicle.
Bowie Police Chief Guy Green said the report was made on Feb. 21 after Melanie Brown was picked up by a Montague County Sheriff’s Deputy and brought to the police department.
The incident began at 902 E. Clay, where Brown lives. Green said the couple had reportedly split up and Kunkel had left the residence. However, Brown came home from the grocery store and found him inside the house. He refused to leave and told her he was taking the vehicle, a 2016 white Hyundai Accent.
