Bowie police to attend FBI class

Five Bowie Police officers will be attending a child abduction response and investigation course April 9-10 in Sherman.
Officers attending include: School Resource Officers Travis Fuller and Andrew Poole, Assistant Chief Kent Stagg, Lt. Randy Hanson and Sgt. Bob Blackburn. This course is presented by the FBI’s Child Abduction Rapid Deployment Team in cooperation with the Sherman Police Department.
Training topics will include: Abduction response based on the FBI plan; overview of child sex offenders, residential and long-term abductions, non-parental abductions, false allegation of child abduction, interview-interrogation considerations in child abductions, neighborhood investigation and road block canvassing and current case studies from FBI CARD team deployments nationwide.

A BOIL WATER NOTICE remains in effect for City of Bowie, TX water customers along Highway 81 from Parker Road to Old Bowie Lake. Affected customers should use bottled or boiled water for drinking, cooking, or brushing teeth. Results of water testing should be available shortly after noon today. If the testing is good, the BOIL WATER NOTICE may be lifted shortly thereafter

Repairs prompt boil order

A boil water order was implemented Monday afternoon for the area served at U.S. Highway 81 from Parker Drive to Old Bowie Lake as water line repairs were made. The order remains in place today. If you are affected by this order and need bottled water call 940-977-4941.
