Bowie resident Jack Milchanowski competed at the Rifle and Pistol Olympic Trials part one at Ft. Moore, GA. on Sept. 28- Oct. 3.
Milchanowski competed in the air pistol portion of the trials.
This was his fourth Olympic trials to qualify for, having shot in the trials for the London, Rio, and Tokyo Olympics.
The 2024 Summer Olympics will be in Paris next year.
The group shot two matches of sixty shots each, indoors at a distance of ten meters.
Milchanowski finished in 32nd place out of 36 competitors. The top two shooters will make up the team.
While he realized going into the trials that he was not going to be in the top tier of our shooters, Milchanowski did shoot exactly the same scores as he had been shooting during his training which was one of the performance goals he had set for the event.
