Three will be inducted into the Bowie Hall of Honor during a special ceremony at 6 p.m. on Friday in the Bowie High School Commons.
The three inductees are Monte Robicheaux, who was a member of the Bowie 1951 state championship basketball team, multi-sport athlete Lee Ray Massey and former all-state volleyball player Heather Helton.
Robicheaux’s will be honored posthumously as he passed away in 2008.
Bowie Booster Club President Craig Stallcup called this a strong class.
“The public is invited to attend this event, and refreshments will be served,” Stallcup said.
There also will be a ceremony during halftime of the Homecoming football game between Bowie and Henrietta, which kicks off at 7:30 p.m. Read more, and see complete biographies, in the mid-week Bowie News online or with your electronic subscription.
