LOCAL: Brisket dinner Friday

The second pair of winners will be named during the Bowie High School boys’ basketball invitational tournament.
The announcement will take place at some point during tournament play on Dec. 4.
There also will be a rib-and-brisket dinner during the boys’ basketball tournament.
One ticket costs $12. The meal also features beans, dessert and a drink. The meal will be served from 1:30-8:30 p.m.
Proceeds from the dinner will benefit both the Bowie High School baseball and softball programs.
The tournament will feature Azle, Mineral Wells, Blue Ridge, Krum, Iowa Park, Callisburg and Braemer, which is a high school squad from the state of Victoria in Australia. Read more on the Nov. 23 booster club meeting in The Bowie News.
