HIGH SCHOOL BASKETBALL: Bowie boys dim City View
The Bowie High School boys’ basketball team has picked up the pace in recent games, and this past Friday was no different.
The Jackrabbits tossed in a season-high point total in an 85-20 blitzkrieg over District 3A-9 foe Wichita Falls City View.
With the win, Bowie moved into a first-place tie in the district with Henrietta since the Bearcats suffered their first 3A-9 loss to Paradise, also on Friday. Bowie and Henrietta will play on Friday in their first meeting of the season, after the Jackrabbits played at Boyd on Tuesday.
Ten different Bowie players scored, and the Jackrabbits outscored City View 29-8 after one quarter of play and they were up 49-10 at recess.
Kaden Ogle was Bowie’s leading scorer with 18 points, including three 3-pointers and six free throws. Read more in The Bowie News.
