HIGH SCHOOL SOFTBALL: Practices have started up

The first allowable date for softball practice was Friday, Jan. 22, according to the University Interscholastic League.
This will mark head coach Brant Farris’ second season leading Bowie.
Lindsay Cline will be in her first season as head coach in Nocona, which plays in District 3A-9 like Bowie.
Bowie had a parents’ meeting on Monday as season introduction.
Farris reported on the Bowie softball website practice will begin at 3 p.m. on Friday.
Scrimmages will begin in February.
Bowie was the lone county team to qualify for playoffs last season, finishing with a 15-16 overall mark and first-round exit against Howe.
