DPS confirms identity of plane crash victims
A father and son flying to visit family in the Bowie area died in Friday’s fiery plane crash just a short distance from the Bowie Airport.
Department of Public Safety Spokesperson Tony Fulton said the pilot was identified as Lawrence Liptack, 51, and his nine-year-old son Landon Liptack was the passenger. Both were killed when the twin-engine Cessna 414 crashed into a pasture and caught fire behind a home at 2202 Lone Star Road.

Montague County Grand Jury issues November indicted cases
The following indictments were filed with the 97th District Clerk following the November session of the Montague County Grand Jury.
There were a total of 13 indictments with one sealed awaiting the arrest of a suspect.
A grand jury indictment is not evidence of guilt. All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
