FISHING: Bowie competes at regional May 7

The Bowie High School bass fishing team will compete at Texas High School Bass Association regional tournament on May 7 at Richland-Chambers Reservoir.
The event will begin with boat check at 5 p.m. on May 6 at Oak Cove Marina in Corsicana. There will be a meeting at 8 p.m. on the same date at Midred Baptist Church, also located in Corsicana.
The following Bowie two-person teams will compete: Lane Hopson-Hadley Morgan and Jared Stone and Mitch Sanders.
Jeremy Stone will fish solo because Kollin Gillaspia will be competing for the Jackrabbit baseball team in Argyle that day.
Bowie anglers may practice at the reservoir on May 6, but the lake is off limits until then. Boat captains are not allowed to fish during the regional tournament. Read more in the May 4 Bowie News.
