LOCAL: Weber assumes Bowie Boosters presidency

The 2016-17 leadership group has been selected for the Bowie Athletic Booster Club.
Keith Weber, this year’s vice president, will assume the role of president. Weber replaces Craig Stallcup.
“I will try to stay involved, including with the Hall of Honor,” Stallcup said.
Jill Jones was nominated for vice president, and she accepted.
Jessica Gresham has been named treasurer for next year, taking over for Kristal Wolsey Sutton.
Cynthia Robertson will remain on as the board secretary.
New officers will take these positions effective June 1.
During the meeting, the board reported seven scholarships were given to Kevin Stallcup, Hannah Woolf, Kamry Weber, Ralie Sutton, Tilghman Parr, Josh Monkres and Zeke Vaughan. Each scholarship was for $500.
The boosters are looking at possible summer fundraisers. Read more in the May 28 Bowie News.
