HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL: Bowie plays in 7-on-7 this weekend

The Bowie High School football team will be competing in a 7-on-7 state qualifying tournament today at Memorial Stadium and Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls.
The Jackrabbits will certainly be a different team for the 2016 season, graduating a heap of players – including several who are bound to compete on the college level.
The team has played 7-on-7 games this past month at home versus Chico, Nocona and Boyd.
Bowie has been placed in Pool B with Abilene Wylie, Graham and Gainesville – with all three of their pool opponents Conference 4A schools.
Bowie opens with Gainesville at 9 a.m. on Field D. The Jackrabbits will then play Abilene Wylie at 11 a.m. on Field C. The final game is set for 1 p.m. versus Graham. Read more in the May 28 Bowie News.
