New Nocona High School assistant football coach Nathan Alling served as student manager for Texas A&M University for three years.
Nocona head coach and athletic director Brad Keck said that will serve Alling well with the Indians.
“I think he’ll be a good asset to the program because he has good attention to detail,” Keck said.
Alling will be the defensive line coach, and also help with the middle school football program. He also will coach middle school basketball and assist the baseball and track and field teams.
In the classroom, Alling is set to be the elementary school physical education instructor. He replaces Tiffany Clay, who has moved up to teach middle school social studies.
“It’s nice to be able to come back home to North Texas,” Alling said. “I will be a short distance from my friends and family.”
