The Brehmer Rodeo Company, LLC, will have a rodeo at 7:30 p.m. on Sept. 12 and 13 at the Jim Bowie Rodeo Arena here in Bowie.
This rodeo will be sanctioned by the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA), and Brehmer Rodeo Company is providing the stock.
“We worked to keep a PRCA rodeo in Bowie,” said Barney Brehmer, of Brehmer Rodeo Company. “All professional rodeo applications were completed and accepted by the PRCA.”
Brehmer Rodeo is teaming up with Bowie Rural Volunteer Fire Department to put on the event, which will coincide with a fish fry that weekend.
A portion of the proceeds from the ticket sales, along with donated items for a silent auction, will go directly back to the fire department to help purchase needed equipment.
Tickets will cost $10 for adults and $7 for children ages six to 12. Children ages five years old and under are admitted free. For tickets, call Randall Preuninger at 940-841-4277, Ray Jones at 940-366-5352 or Brehmer at 254-592-5372.
