Forestburg High School’s volleyball team dropped to 12-6 on the season with a straight-set loss to Notre Dame 25-14, 25-20, 25-6.
The Lady Horns played well against the defending Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools (TAPPS) Division II state champion in the first set, but faltered towards the end.
“We had a very off day against a good team,” Forestburg head coach Rosana Barbosa said.
The opposite occurred in the second set as Forestburg got off to a slow start, but challenged the Lady Knights late.
The Lady Horns struggled in the third set, and Notre Dame to won the final set and match.
The match featured mentor versus student as Barbosa once served as an assistant under Notre Dame head coach Lisa Macha.
