Bowie got its first look at a parks master plan Tuesday as its was introduced in a public hearing before the Bowie City Council meeting.
Gary Baker, Josh Miller and Cary Dodson of Gary Baker & Associates, LLC, made the presentation on the first stage of the plan process. He explained the plan will act as a guide to the future and set the general direction for parks and recreation programming and development for the next 20 years.
“It should be viewed as a living, flexible document, to be evaluated and refined on a regular basis to keep pace with demographic, recreational needs and desires of the community, funding and other trends as they evolve,” stated Baker.
Pictured is the master plan preliminary conceptual drawing for a Kiwanis Park renovation. See the full story and more concept drawings in the weekend News.
