BENEFIT SOFTBALL: ‘Crush it for Creedyn’ on Aug. 13

The “Crush It For Creedyn” benefit softball tournament will take place at 8 a.m. on Aug. 13 at the Haggar Sports Complex.
This is a co-ed formatted tournament.
All proceeds will go to support Creedyn Michael McClelland and his battle with leukemia. He was diagnosed at nine weeks old.
There will be a three-game guarantee.
The cost is $200, and a team must consist of at least five men and five women. The entry fee is due after the first game.
Teams will be given three home runs, and then take an out. Girls will be able to hit unlimited home runs. Wrist bands will be sold for $15 for unlimited home runs for men.
Games will be played under United States Specialty Sports Association rules.
There also will be a silent auction.
The entry deadline is Aug. 7.
For information, and to donate to the silent auction, call Brooke Correll at 1-940-636-4671.
McClellan has been at Cook Children’s Hospital since June 20 according to a Facebook page in his honor, as the young boy continues his battle.
