HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL: Brock sits on top in 3A, Division I

The Brock High School football team remains in front in the Dave Campbell’s Texas Football Conference 3A Division I poll for the week of Sept. 19.
The Eagles remained perfect on the season at 4-0 after clobbering Dallas Triple-A Academy 58-0.
Franklin is second, Malakoff third, Cameron Yoe fourth and Sunnyvale fifth. Grandview placed sixth and Wall eighth.
In Conference 3A Division II, Newton is No. 1 with Arp second, Gilmer Harmony third, East Bernard fourth and Gunter fifth. Cisco is eighth and Coleman ninth.
Newton, with an unblemished 4-0 mark, defeated Bridge City 38-16.
Jonesboro leads the Conference 1A Six-Man poll with a 4-0 record, while Ira is second, Happy third, Borden County fourth and Zephyr fifth. Gorman, who was off last week, placed seventh.
Jonesboro whacked Cherokee 78-13.
Richland Springs (3-0) is first in the Conference 1A Division II poll after topping Austin Hill Country 60-8. Calvert is second, Crowell third, Milford fourth and Balmorhea fifth.
Strawn is sixth and Motley County eighth to round of 1A-II schools of note.
