REGIONAL: Glen Rose honors volleyball coach Langford

Glen Rose Independent School District honored head volleyball coach Sandy Langford for her 300th career coaching victory, which took place during the 2016 season, during a school board meeting on Nov. 28. Langford earned her 300th win over China Spring during the Glen Rose Tournament. The Lady Tigers finished with a 40-4 record, making the regional finals for the third consecutive year. In 12 years as head coach at both Nocona and Glen Rose, Langford’s teams have made the regional tournament every year. Kelsey Potter, one of Langford’s former players, was a sophomore on the volleyball team at North Central Texas College this year. Reading a proclamation at the podium is GRISD Superintendent G. Wayne Rotan. (Courtesy photo from the Glen Rose Independent School District)
