Bowie boys take first at Alvord

The Bowie Junior High cross country teams competed at Alvord on Sept. 25 where the boys completed a first-place team finish and Kenzie Short ran her way to third place for the girls.
The Bowie boys had five top-10 finishers, with Angel Martinez (13:13.59), Fisher Pullen (13:19.92) and Si Mayfield (13:25.35) finishing together in the fourth-sixth spots. Not far behind was Nathan Rodgers (14:06.38) in eighth and Cooper Childers (14:07.65) in ninth.
