Commissioners to meet on Monday

Montague County Commissioners will meet at 9 a.m. Nov. 24 in the courthouse annex.

Bowie veterinarian Dr. Arn Anderson will meet with the court to discuss the recent change to the rabies vaccine rules for domestic pets in the county. Two weeks ago the court voted to change the requirements from every year to the three-year vaccine.

Other items on the agenda include: Approval of the sale of seized firearms; a road crossing on Round Prairie Road; permission for precinct four to enter into a vehicle contract; and monthly reports.

A BOIL WATER NOTICE remains in effect for City of Bowie, TX water customers along Highway 81 from Parker Road to Old Bowie Lake. Affected customers should use bottled or boiled water for drinking, cooking, or brushing teeth. Results of water testing should be available shortly after noon today. If the testing is good, the BOIL WATER NOTICE may be lifted shortly thereafter

Repairs prompt boil order

A boil water order was implemented Monday afternoon for the area served at U.S. Highway 81 from Parker Drive to Old Bowie Lake as water line repairs were made. The order remains in place today. If you are affected by this order and need bottled water call 940-977-4941.
