Lewisville accident takes the life of Bowie teen; 3 others injured
The Bowie area is mourning the death of another young person following a car crash in Lewisville on Saturday where 13-year-old Alexandra Lynch was killed.
The wreck occurred at 11:28 a.m. on Nov. 24 at Farm-to-Market Road 544 and a Texas Highway 121 service road. Lewisville Police responded to the scene and found a tractor-trailer had T-boned a passenger vehicle.
Lynch died at the scene as she rode in the back seat of the vehicle struck by a gravel truck. A ruling on her death was pending autopsy. Three other people were injured.
The Bowie teen is the daughter of Eddie Ray Wilkerson Jr.and Connie McNett Wilkerson of Bowie and Jared and Jennifer Lynch, Anne Arundel County Maryland. Her siblings include sisters Emmalynn Lynch, Eh lana Favela and Aria Favela and brother, Colyn Lynch
Lexi’s mom said her daughter had a passion for basketball, theater and sea turtles. She was an eighth grader at Bellevue School active in athletics.
A pair of funds have been established to assist the family with funeral expenses.

The cast and crew of Gold-Burg High School’s state-bound one-act play “Interview,” will present a public show at 4 p.m. on May 5 in the Bowie Junior High Auditorium.
Admission is $5 and there will be a bake sale to raise funds for travel and other OAP expenses. The show is directed by Linda Fitzner.
The group will travel to Austin to perform on May 13 for the state title. This is the school’s first time to take a play to the state contest.

Voters in Bowie and Forestburg Independent School Districts will have their say Saturday as both entities offer up bond issues to improve infrastructure.
Early voting came to an end on Tuesday with a total of 1,230 people casting their ballots.
On election day the polls will be open 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at three locations: Bowie Senior Citizens Center, Forestburg ISD Library and Sunset City Hall. Voters can cast their ballots at any of these locations due to countywide voting.
