First snowfall of the year arrives

The first snow of 2019 arrived on Saturday morning as high winds and a massive cold front blew in during the early morning hours. The snowfall ranged from a dusting toward Wichita Falls to much heavier accumulation toward Gainesville. Bowie experienced some power line issues Saturday, but the city crews tackled them as quickly as possible. See lots more photos in the mid-week News.

Dangerous storms bring tornadoes and flooding to county

Levi Davis captured this funnel cloud from his home in the Fruitland and Hwy 101 area last night. A scary night across the county with tornados, flooding, hail and road closures. Thank you to all the emergency personnel who braved the dangerous weather to help people.
