HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL: Nocona’s Nobile lauded

Nocona High School’s Ryder Nobile was recognized by District 2-3A-II as a second-team defensive back.
This wasn’t an easy season for Nocona, which finished the season winless as the Indians were a team in transition.
Promising newcomer Emmanual Gayton was an honorable mention at both running back and defensive end.
Barkley Hayes was tabbed as an honorable mention along both the offensive and defensive lines.
Parker Marshall was an honorable mention linebacker and Kyle Sentell the same as a defensive back.
Landen Lewis, a senior from Cisco, was chosen as the district’s most valuable player.
The Loboes qualified for the postseason – along with Eastland, Henrietta and Wichita Falls City View.

Bowie’s Cason Richey (right) and his horse Hello Lashes, qualified for the College National Finals Rodeo this month. Richey competes in team roping as a part of the Texas Tech University rodeo team as a freshman. The CNFR is scheduled for June 15-21 at Casper, WY.
