The bankruptcy filing of Bowie Real Estate Holdings, LP, that owns and operated Central Hospital of Bowie continues through the courts, however, the owners have received the property back and have begun marketing it for sale.
Officials from Bowie Real Estate Holdings closed the hospital on Feb. 4 and filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy on April 6, just one day before the building foreclosure sale was scheduled on the courthouse steps.
CrossFirst Bank filed for the trustee sale after the owners from Bowie Real Estate Holdings defaulted on a $2.5 million bank note.
Bowie Real Estate Holdings is operated by Dr. Hasan F. Hashmi and his son, Faraz Hashmi, who worked as chief executive office of Central Hospital. They purchased the former Bowie Memorial Hospital which was closed on March 21 2016.
