Trustees of the Bowie Independent School District accepted an unqualified audit for 2019-20 from what has been a difficult year with many challenges.
The board met this past week to consider the audit, along with a public hearing on the Texas Education Agency Financial Accountability Rating System, where the district received all 100 points in the survey.
Paul Fleming of Edgin, Parkman, Fleming & Fleming presented the audit report noting the process went smooth with minimal adjustments. He stated all the issues they ran into last year in accounting procedures had been resolved.

The district also presented its Texas Education Agency Financial Accountability Rating report for 2018-18 with the district a full 100 points in the survey for a superior rating.
