Road issues top commissioner’s agenda

Published

on

Montague County Commissioners will discuss several road issues when they meet Dec. 28.
The discussion begins at 8:45 a.m. with a pair of public hearings.
The first will consider a request from the Nortex Regional Planning Commission to name a private road in precinct one Sunset Ridge Lane for 911 purposes. It is located on the U.S. Highway 287 service road and State Highway 101.
However, the hearing may be for naught as the regular agenda requests to rescind the order from Nov. 23 to name the road Sunset Ridge lane. There has been a change to Twilight Ridge Lane.
The second hearing is a request also from Nortex to name a private road in precinct one Gardner Way. It is located on the southbound service road of U.S. Highway 287 between State Highway 101 and Bryan Road.
The court will canvass the Dec. 19 Senate District 30 runoff election results.
Bonds for Kim Jones, Montague County clerk, Jerry DeMoss, constable two and Robin Woods, district clerk will be approved.
Commissioner’s meetings are available via a videoconference link at co.montague.tx.us.
