Bowie’s Weber honorable mention

Add one more accolade for now former Bowie High School pitcher Karly Weber.
Weber was named an honorable mention all-state selection from the Texas Girls Coaches Association in Conference 2A softball.
Weber, who signed a National Letter of Intent to play at Howard College in Big Spring this past January, was also the District 8-AA most valuable player for the second straight campaign.
Weber was the lone selection from The Bowie News area to be so honored.
The Jackrabbits finished the season with a record of 24-7, which included a bi-district victory over Cisco.
Bowie, however, lost to Ballinger in the next round in a gut-wrenching three-game series.
