Montague County receives Build a Better Texas award
Business was brief for the Montague County Commissioners Monday, taking less than 20 minutes.
The court received the Building a Better Texas award from the Texas Agriculture Extension Service presented by Elsie Lacey and Justin Hansard, county extension agents.
This presentation was made in conjunction with a proclamation celebrating the 100th anniversary of the signing of the Smith-Lever Act, the founding legislation of the nationwide Cooperative Extension System. A BOIL WATER NOTICE remains in effect for City of Bowie, TX water customers along Highway 81 from Parker Road to Old Bowie Lake. Affected customers should use bottled or boiled water for drinking, cooking, or brushing teeth. Results of water testing should be available shortly after noon today. If the testing is good, the BOIL WATER NOTICE may be lifted shortly thereafter
A boil water order was implemented Monday afternoon for the area served at U.S. Highway 81 from Parker Drive to Old Bowie Lake as water line repairs were made. The order remains in place today. If you are affected by this order and need bottled water call 940-977-4941.
