Three injured in early morning accident Tuesday

Nocona Fire Department responded to this two-vehicle wreck at 6:40 a.m. Tuesday on United States Highway 81, north of Dutton Road. Department of Public Safety Trooper Ronnie Nelson investigated. This blue Dodge pickup driven by Gerardo Lopez-Montes, 27, was traveling southbound in the northbound lane of U.S. 81 when he attempted to pass and collided with a 2005 Ford FM 350 pickup driven by Roger Clyde Magee, 52, Jayess, MS, who was traveling north in the northbound lane. Both drivers and a passenger in the Magee vehicle, were transported to Nocona General Hospital by Nocona and Bowie EMS. Judges named to preside over DA Hall cases

Judges have been named for the two cases involving 97th District Attorney Casey Hall, including the indictment for theft and a petition for removal as DA.
On July 11, Judge David L. Evans, presiding judge for the Eighth Administration Region of Texas, assigned E. Lee Gabriel to handle the indictment case against Hall. The judge then named Bruce McFarling for the removal petition case.
The two-term DA Hall was indicted by the Montague County Grand Jury July 15 on a charge of theft of property $2,500 to $30,000, a state jail felony. The allegations stem from reported misappropriation of state grant funds.
