Saint Jo City Council approves new EMS building

Published

on

Saint Jo alderpersons were all set to discuss the possible hiring of a third police officer, but the executive session was scratched from the meeting at the request of Police Chief Tyler Roy.

City Secretary Sherri Davis said the chief did not elaborate, but asked it be cancelled.

Safety still topped the meeting as the group unanimously approved the construction of a new building for emergency medical services.

City Public Works Director Marty Hilton said the building will be roughly 40×40-feet, and house two ambulances, located at the intersection of Farm-to-Market 677 and Howell near downtown.
