Published

Texas voters will be part of the “Super Tuesday” presidential primaries on March 1 as the two major political parties offer their candidates on the ballot for voters to consider.

In Montague County polls will be open 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday. Ten voting locations will be open across the county as voters can vote at any of the 10 locations, not just their home precincts.

Elections Administrator Brandi Shipman said there has been a strong turnout in early voting and she anticipates good numbers for Tuesday. Through Thursday 13.22 percent (1,706) of the registered voters had cast ballots early. Shipman said that’s about where they numbers were during the last primary. Friday was the last day of early voting.

Sample ballots were in the Feb. 17 Bowie News and are on the county website at: www.co.montague.tx.us, click on the elections tab.
