Early voting nears 1,000 during its first week

Early voting will continue through 5 p.m. on Feb. 28.
As of 6 p.m. on Monday 990 cast their ballots early.
Those wishing to vote in the March 3 party primaries can do so at any of four locations in Montague County: Courthouse Annex Community Room in Montague, Bible Baptist Church in Bowie, Saint Jo Civic Center and the H.J. Justin Community Room in Nocona.
The polls are open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday-Friday. Election day will be March 3.

A BOIL WATER NOTICE remains in effect for City of Bowie, TX water customers along Highway 81 from Parker Road to Old Bowie Lake. Affected customers should use bottled or boiled water for drinking, cooking, or brushing teeth. Results of water testing should be available shortly after noon today. If the testing is good, the BOIL WATER NOTICE may be lifted shortly thereafter

Repairs prompt boil order

A boil water order was implemented Monday afternoon for the area served at U.S. Highway 81 from Parker Drive to Old Bowie Lake as water line repairs were made. The order remains in place today. If you are affected by this order and need bottled water call 940-977-4941.
