GOLF: Twisted Oaks releases Parent/Child results

Marc and Wendy Reynolds were the winners in the Jordan Speith Flight, a nine-hole division, at the Parent/Child scramble from Saturday at Twisted Oaks Golf Club.
The Reynolds scored 33, which was four strokes better than Eric and Casey Heddins and Chuck and Levi Wallace. Both teams tallied 37s, with the Heddins taking second with a tie-breaker.
Thirty-four teams competed for family pride and golf medals.

JBD rodeo brings a lot of fun

The Jim Bowie Days Rodeo celebration culminated with three nights of rodeo action last week.
Produced by TNT Rodeo Company and featuring riders from the United Professional Rodeo Association, it was a great way to end a week full of of activities.
After three nights of competition the top riders were able to leave with the prize money.
In bareback riding, Triston Flinn won the event with a ride scored 57 points.
In barrel racing, Elia Gordillo and Kathy Muehen somehow tied for first place, both racing around the barrels in 17.535 seconds.
In breakaway roping, Corlee Massey got first place with a quick time of 2.410 seconds.
Team roping was won by the pair of Coy Sand and Justin Ochs who caught their calf in 4.6 seconds.
Tie-down roping was won by Kyle Parrish who secured his catch in 9.5 seconds.
The top steer wrestler was Jaylin Minor who got it to the ground in 5.2 seconds.
Ranch bronc riding was won by Jeston Gilliam who scored a ride of 80 while Jace Lane won the saddle bronc riding with a score of 81.5 points.
The last event was bull riding which was won by Noah Lee with a ride that scored 87.5 points.
