Nocona to have baseball tourney
Premier Player Sports will have its first-ever Nocona All-American Fall Classic baseball tournament at the American Legion Complex in Nocona.
The classic will take place on Sept. 19-20, with teams from 7-under through 18-under.
There will be a wiffleball home run derby, tournament awards for first- through third-place teams and first- and second-place individuals. Players and coaches also will be supplied with goodie bags.
Each division’s winning team will receive a “Winner Take All, Next One’s On Us” tournament entry coupon to enter any Premier Player Sports tournament within a season – it essentially serves as an entry fee waiver.
This is a qualifying even for the Super Series Baseball Winter Nationals set for Round Rock in November.
This tournament also will serve as a fundraiser for the Nocona Youth Sports Association, helping generate money to improve their facilities.
