There was nothing deliberate about the Nocona High School boys’ basketball team’s District 3A-9 victory over Bowie.
Kameron Hill, and the Indians, controlled the pace – especially late during the second quarter – as Nocona downed Bowie 65-56 on Friday evening.
Nocona spoiled what was a night of celebration for Bowie, which honored the 1974 Jackrabbit state championship squad – complete with quilt auction and ceremony.
The Indians improved to 14-7 while Bowie dropped to 11-10, and out of Conference 3A state polling.
Hill finished with a game-high 31 points, and he added three assists and three steals. Overall, Kameron made good on 10-of-13 field goals and all six of his free-throw attempts. He canned five of Nocona’s nine 3-pointers. Read more in The Bowie News.
