Teen programs planned for Bowie Library

The Bowie Public Library staff invites teens to “Get in the game: Read” by taking part in the teen summer reading program every Thursday at 2 p.m. in June and July.

Library Director Beth Hiatt said they will discuss two different books, and there will be games and activities for the students.

Also to provide some fun for the summer, the library will have Movie and Game Day each Wednesday in June and July at 2 p.m.

These programs are free and children of all ages are welcome. Children under the age of 10 must be accompanied by an adult or caregiver over the age of 15.

Hiatt said June 15 will be movie day and each week that will alternate with game day.

Bowie, Nocona libraries wrap up summer reading this week

Local libraries wrap up their children’s summer reading programs this week.
The Bowie Public Library brings the popular Creature Teacher with all their spectacular animals for the final event on July 23 at the Bowie Community Center.
The program begins at 10 am. The children also will receive their prize books for their summer logs.
The Nocona Public Library ends its program at 10 a.m. on July 24 at the H.J. Justin Building at 100 Clay Street. The program will be “Our Own Action Heroes -” Nocona fire, police and EMTs.
