Saint Jo splits with Petrolia, Wichita Falls Christian

The Saint Jo High School volleyball team split at a triangular on Tuesday at Petrolia, beating Wichita Falls Christian but falling to the host.
Saint Jo knocked off Wichita Falls Christian in three games by scores of 25-13, 25-16, 25-12, but lost to Petrolia 25-19, 27-25 and 25-16.
In the match versus Wichita Falls Christian, Sarah Patrick and Hunter Tallon both pounded down five kills. Tallon also chipped in with three digs and five assists and Patrick had one ace block and four digs.
Karla Fernandez dished off a Panther-best eight assists, and she also had a pair of kills.
In the loss to Petrolia, Tallon posted four kills, three digs and three assists. Patrick scooped up five digs and had a pair of ace blocks. Fernandez added eight assists and three digs.
The Panthers are 6-12 heading into their next match on Tuesday at S&S Consolidated of Sadler.
Forestburg can’t halt losing skid
The Forestburg volleyball team suffered a tough four-game loss on Tuesday at Bryson, which is coached by former Bowie ISD employee Todd Matlock.
The Cowgirls topped the Lady Horns 17-25, 30-28, 25-18, 25-14.
