Groundwater district begins interviewing candidates today
Directors of the Upper Trinity Groundwater Conservation District Friday evening began interviews for a new general manager.
The district has been without a general manager since Sept. 15, when Dr. Bob Patterson resigned to “pursue other career opportunities.”
Patterson has been with the district since 2009, shortly after the district was formed by voters in Montague, Wise, Parker and Hood Counties. There were seven applicants scheduled for interviews. Read more on this story in the weekend News.
A BOIL WATER NOTICE remains in effect for City of Bowie, TX water customers along Highway 81 from Parker Road to Old Bowie Lake. Affected customers should use bottled or boiled water for drinking, cooking, or brushing teeth. Results of water testing should be available shortly after noon today. If the testing is good, the BOIL WATER NOTICE may be lifted shortly thereafter
A boil water order was implemented Monday afternoon for the area served at U.S. Highway 81 from Parker Drive to Old Bowie Lake as water line repairs were made. The order remains in place today. If you are affected by this order and need bottled water call 940-977-4941.
