Curtis Grimes to perform benefit concert for Bowie Mission

Submitted by Bowie Community Development
Curtis Grimes has proven to be a force in the country music industry that can’t be denied.
The City of Bowie is thankful he has teamed up with Steen Promotions and Bowie ISD to bring a Bowie Mission benefit concert to the Bowie Junior High Auditorium stage on Nov. 10. Admission is $5 and two canned goods. Children under 12 years old are free.
“Curtis Grimes is soaring to the tops of the National Power Source Christian Country Music Charts. He has more than 50 million digital streams, over 100,000 albums sold and seventeen #1 singles on the Texas country charts. We are just so thankful for him and his mission to help others,” said Dillon Steen of Steen Promotions. “Bowie, Texas, get ready. Curtis is bringing his full band to Bowie to benefit our local Bowie Mission. His (Grimes) mission is to ensure our local food bank has more than enough food and funds to get our local families in need through the holiday season.”
Opening for the Curtis Grimes band is the Casting Out Band of Bowie, Texas. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. with show time 7 to 10 p.m. at the Bowie Junior High School Auditorium at 501 East Tarrant Street B. No food or drinks allowed inside the venue.
All proceeds – monetary and food donations – will be 100% donated to the Bowie Mission.
Bowie Community Development Board is looking forward to working with Grimes. Cindy Roller, Bowie Community Development executive director, has coordinated with Grimes while working in East Texas on the Delta County Cotton Harvest Festival.
“We are excited to have him here in Bowie,” added Roller. “He helped us start the success at the Delta County Cotton Harvest Festival and continues to support his Texas roots. We are very honored to be able to welcome him in Bowie as he gives back to our community.”
