Workman Watch: July 19 edition

Former Bowie High School pitcher Brandon Workman will remain in the minor leagues with the Pawtucket PawSox through the weekend for his next start.
Workman is scheduled to start Saturday’s game against Buffalo, which will start at 5:05 p.m. Central Daylight Time.
The Boston Red Sox have established their post All-Star break rotation, which begins with a three-game set at home versus the Kansas City Royals.
Clay Buchholz pitched Friday night, followed by Rubby De La Rosa on Saturday and Jon Lester on Sunday. Boston travels to Toronto Monday when Jon Lackey gets the start, and Jake Peavy is set for Tuesday.
De La Rosa replaced Workman in the Red Sox rotation last week. Workman had lost his last three starts for Boston before his demotion.
Workman, a 2007 graduate from Bowie, has a 4-1 record in the minors this season with a 5.36 earned-run average. He has allowed 26 earned runs and 50 hits in eight starts, with 37 strikeouts and only 12 walks. Home runs have hurt Brandon, giving up nine of them in the minors.
It remains unclear when Workman will be promoted back to Boston.
