Bowie man killed in crash

A 31-year-old Bowie man was killed in a one-vehicle crash on U.S. Highway 287 on Feb. 19.
The Department of Public Safety reports the wreck occurred at Hwy. 287 and East Scaling Road. Andrew Cliffor Ericson was driving a 2002 Chevrolet SUV north on Hwy. 287 when his vehicle suffered a front tire blowout. This caused the SUV to go into a side skid and then entered the right barrow ditch where it rolled several times. Ericson was ejected and pronounced dead at the scene. The crash remains under investigation.
