Nocona CIty Council amend budget, approves generator bid specs

Nocona City Councilors took care of a routine agenda of business on Oct. 14 that included final amendments for the 2024-25 budget and approval of the bid package for the critical facility generators project.
City Secretary Revell Hardison said the clean-up of the fiscal year budget overall came out “pretty good,” with more revenue coming in for water and sewer this year, as well as golf and the general fund. The amended general fund budget revenue was $2,930,291 with year-to-date $2,966,280.28 leaving an unencumbered balance of $35,989.28. General fund expenses were amended to $2,930,291, year-to-date $2,897,614.65 and a balance of $32,676.35.
In the golf fund the revenue was amended to $285,926 with year-to-date $368,623.25 with an unencumbered balance of $82,697.25. Total expenditures were $284,182.72 leaving $1,743. Year-to-date ended with $84,440.53.

A BOIL WATER NOTICE remains in effect for City of Bowie, TX water customers along Highway 81 from Parker Road to Old Bowie Lake.
