Cantwell places 4th at Fossil Ridge

The Bowie High School boys and girls cross country teams competed in the Run of the Panther this past Friday at Keller Sports Park in Keller.
The meet was put on by Fossil Ridge High School in Keller.
The Bowie boys competed in the junior varsity boys division while the girls were in the jayvee girls’ division. It marked the first meet of the season for the Bowie girls. Both teams ran five kilometers.
Kamryn Cantwell recorded the best time among Bowie girls in 22 minutes, 38.95 seconds, which was good enough for fourth place.
Brittney Pound was next in 18th with a time of 23:42.75. Courtney Brady followed in 64th, clocking in at 23:35.33.
Three Bowie girls raced in succession, with Valerie Walker 113th (27:00 flat), Maylie Short 114th (27.01.29) and Lauren Gill 115th (27.01.72). Read more in the mid-week edition of The Bowie News.
