BOWIE FOOTBALL: BJH eighth-graders triumph

The Bowie High School junior varsity/ninth-grade football team suffered a 48-6 loss to Breckenridge at Jackrabbit Stadium on Thursday.
With the loss, the Jackrabbits dropped to 3-5 heading into its next game on Oct. 30 at home versus Ponder.
Bret Davis posted Bowie’s lone touchdown on a 55 run around left tackle.
Conner Koks killed a Breckenridge drive during the fourth quarter with an interception.
Bowie got inside the Buckaroos’ 30-yard line two other times, but failed to score on account of Jackrabbit interceptions.

Jacob Skinner took a Chance Tomlinson handoff 68 yards on a kickoff return for a touchdown to give Bowie a hard-fought victory over Breckenridge on the road. Read more from the notebook in the weekend Bowie News.
