Bowie JV takes title
The Bowie High School junior varsity volleyball teams competed in the Nocona JV Tournament this past Saturday.
The JV maroon squad finished as consolation champions. The Lady Rabbits now have a record of 3-2.
JV maroon defeated Callisburg 25-13, 25-16 as well as Lindsay 25-20, 25-17 and Callisburg a second time 25-16, 25-15 for the consolation title.
Nocona gave JV maroon its lone loss, by scores of 25-15, 25-20.
The JV white team finished in second place in its bracket. Bowie lost to Celina 25-23, 25-13, but won over Nocona 25-14, 25-22 and Callisburg 25-21, 25-12.
The JV white team has a record of 3-1.
No individual statistics were reported to The Bowie News.
